Maryhaven Center of Performing Arts Proudly Presents
Maryhaven Performing Arts is putting on a performance based on the Lion King, which in Swahili translates to "Mfalme Simba". It's a fun, gorgeous and colorful production filled with Maryhaven's most talented performers.

Barbara Hart of Maryhaven Center of Hope's Yaphank Work Center has been named a 2016 Joslin Outstanding Performer. She has been part of the duplication and imaging program for more than 20 years, and currently works on multiple NYSID Preferred Source contracts.

Maryhaven Staff Offer Literacy Program
Among the core values at Maryhaven Center of Hope is the belief that everyone can learn and grow at any age, regardless of disability or other circumstances. This principle has been put into action every day for more than 85 years. One example is a weekly language arts group that meets in a classroom at the agency’s administrative headquarters in Port Jefferson Station.
Charitable Efforts Help Long Island Families
As winter got under way, food, clothing and toy drives were conducted at CHS’s campuses to help struggling Long Island families. For the seventh consecutive year, a toy drive was organized by the CHS Services Information Technology (IT) Department in Melville, spearheaded by Assistant Vice President of Field Services Tanya Grilli to benefit approximately 1,500 children in the community served by Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish in Wyandanch.
Hydroponic Gardening Continues Maryhaven’s History of Innovation
2015 marks the 85th anniversary of Maryhaven Center of Hope, founded by the Daughters of Wisdom in 1930 to serve individuals with special needs. One of the largest and most innovative multiservice agencies on Long Island, Maryhaven continues to develop new programs to better focus on the potential of its clients, building confidence, improving self-esteem and encouraging community integration.
Steps to Life Program as seen on CBS
The Steps to Life program is an Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) Part 822 program. We are a group of caring professionals and clinicians who are committed to working with adolescents, adults and their families. We provide a full spectrum of services with a goal to assist in the recovery and stabilization of individuals who have a history of substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorder. The services we provide include education, prevention, intervention and treatment. Program participants are supported in developing the necessary skills and desire to maintain abstinence and a healthy on-going relationship with their family system.
Maryhaven particpates in Alliance Rally
Sixty members of Maryhaven Center of Hope participated in the Alliance Rally outside Governor Cuomo’s Long Island Office in Hauppauge on Friday March 15th. The rally was in protest of the proposed 6% cuts to Office For People With Developmental Disabilities service providers. Angel Guardian Dedication
On July 17, Reverend William F. Murphy, D.D. S.T.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Rockville Centre blessed the newly opened Angel Guardian Home. Over one hundred people including many dignitaries attended. Angel Guardian Home is the 32nd group home overseen by Maryhaven's residential services that is certified and funded through the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
Best of Broadway
Maryhaven Performing Arts proudly presents its "Best of Broadway" production. Performances from South Pacific, Starmites, Bye Bye Birdie, Beauty and the Beast, and Phantom of the Opera are all being highlighted.
