Patchogue, NY- Maryhaven Center of Hope is very pleased to announce that our newest Day Habilitation program will be having a grand opening in June 2004. It will be called Day Hab Patchogue. The south shore location provides easy access to downtown Patchogue and public transportation. The central theme will be health and wellness. Within this theme, some activities to be offered will include cooking, nutritional instruction, exercise, walking, gardening, relaxation, music therapy, peer interaction groups, a computer lab and opportunities for community integration. The objective of this program is to enrich the lives of the individuals we serve in non-traditional ways, while addressing their individual needs. The first program participants will be made up of 36 individuals from various locations and agencies who previously attended the Maryhaven Yaphank facility.  Despite the sadness which comes from separating from our many friends and acquaintances in Yaphank we are very excited about this new and exciting change.
