Personalized Recovery Oriented Services
At Maryhaven, our philosophy towards mental health is to maximize an individual’s ability to function in a healthy manner. We assist individuals diagnosed
with psychiatric disabilities and dual diagnoses in choosing, attaining and keeping their preferred living, learning, working and social environments with the least amount of on-going professional intervention. Recovery and dual recovery is our focus.
We are committed to assisting individuals in their recovery from the disabling effects of mental illness as well as for the individuals who have co-occurring diagnoses through the coordinated delivery of a customized array of rehabilitation, treatment and support services.
An Individual Approach
PROS is a personalized recovery-oriented model of providing integrated rehabilitation, treatment, and support services to adults with serious mental illness. The program structure assists each individual in managing their illness and restoring the skills and supports necessary to live in the community and pursue their life goals. Service components are coordinated using an Individualized Action Plan (IAP) and are delivered through a psycho-educational approach. Services are provided in both the traditional program setting and in off-site locations where individuals live, learn, work or socialize. At Maryhaven we pride ourselves in creating a therapeutic environment which fosters awareness, hopefulness and motivation for recovery.
The program’s time-limited, goal focused intensive rehabilitation (IR) can be accessed by an individual at various points during their recovery process. Ongoing rehabilitation and support (ORS) allow Maryhaven staff to offer continued assistance to an individual who has secured a job; and the clinical treatment component allows treatment services to be fully integrated into the rehabilitation planning and service provision.
Individuals must be 18 years of age or older and have a prior diagnosis of Mental Illness.
PROS services are covered by Medicaid. Medicare and most private insurance are also accepted. For those individuals who are not Medicaid-eligible, sliding scale fees are available.
